What the film shows
A vessel brings a thousand cubic metres of logs; fewer reach the yard, and nobody can say where the rest went. The film follows the logs through the places a timber business quietly loses money: the gate, where each log is scanned against the supplier’s list; the saw, where what the mill measured is set against what was bought; the stock, which is a published statement plus every movement since; the store; and the owner’s dashboard each morning.
