Timber management software

Timber management software that keeps every piece on record

From the supplier’s packing list to the lorry that leaves your yard, Timbba keeps one record of what came in, what was sawn, what is in stock and what went out — kept by the people who do the work, on the phones they already carry.

Stock on the phone by size and yard

One record, from the port gate to the customer’s truck

Consignments and gate entry

Load the supplier’s packing list once. Each lorry is then checked against it at the gate, log by log, so the yard knows on day one what was short, what was extra and what arrived without a tag.

Live stock by size and yard

Every movement — received, sawn, adjusted, loaded — changes the count for that species, size and location as it happens. Ask “how much 4x2 is in the second yard?” and the phone answers in CFT and CBM.

Orders, loading and challans

An order becomes a loading list, the loading list becomes a challan, and the challan takes the timber off stock — one chain, so the paperwork and the yard never disagree.

Store and consumables

The other stock every timber business runs on — saw blades, oil, spares — kept as carefully as the wood: who asked for it, who approved it, what it cost.

Reports and the dashboard

The owner opens one screen in the morning and sees what came in, what moved and what needs attention; the detailed figures behind it go to the accountant as Excel files.

People, roles and yards

The gateman sees the gate, the loader sees loading, the owner sees everything. Add a second yard and it keeps its own figures, while the owner sees both together.

Running in a week

  1. Set up in a dayWe set up your company, users, machines, species and product sizes, and bring in your opening stock and first consignment.
  2. Walk one consignmentYour gate and mill teams take a real consignment through with us, at the yard, on their own phones.
  3. Run the yard on itFrom then on stock, orders and dispatch run on Timbba, and the owner can check any of it from anywhere.
“Earlier we managed stock in books, so after a month we’d know how much we had — and people made wrong entries. Now we know the exact stock in a day, and the leakage on the port is resolved.”

Questions

What is timber management software?

Software built around how timber is actually bought, held and sold — by the log and the cubic foot, by species and size, across yards — rather than generic inventory that only counts pieces. It replaces the registers and spreadsheets a yard keeps between the gate and the office.

What does a timber business usually lose without it?

Mostly what nobody can prove: logs short against the supplier’s list, stock figures that are a month old, and loads that left without matching paperwork. Timbba puts each of those on record the day it happens.

Does it replace Tally or our accounting?

No — it sits beside it. Timbba keeps the physical side of the business; your accounts, GST returns and salaries stay where they are, and Timbba’s figures reach your accountant as Excel files.

Will my yard staff manage it?

If they use WhatsApp, yes. Each person sees only the few screens for their own job, in a phone app, and the phone’s camera reads the barcodes for them.

How is it priced?

By the size of the operation — how many machines and users you need — as a yearly subscription. Indian plans start at ₹6,250 a month; the pricing section on the home page has the details.
