Sawmill software
Sawmill software that books every log against the saw
A log bought at 28 cm comes out at 25 at the saw. Timbba keeps both figures for that log and shows the owner, every morning, which machine, grade and consignment the difference belongs to — while the log can still be checked, not after it is boards.

Production you can check, log by log
Machine entry against purchase
At the saw, the operator scans the log and only types what the mill measured. What the log was bought as is already there, so the two can be compared without anyone copying numbers across.
Variation you can prove
When a log comes up short, you can see whether it is one machine, one operator, one grade or one supplier — and which logs are the outliers — instead of arguing about it.
Recovery from log to board
See what each grade and length really yields, so you know which logs make money — and buy more of those on the next consignment.
Untagged logs, matched later
A log with a torn or missing tag still gets sawn and recorded; later it is matched to the consignment it belongs to, so a missing tag never becomes missing timber.
Daily and weekly sawing
How much each machine cut today and this week, what is still waiting at each saw, and how much of every vessel is left to cut.
Then into stock and dispatch
What the saw produces lands in stock by species, size and yard, ready to be ordered, loaded and dispatched from the same app.
Running in a week
- Machines and operatorsWe set up your saws and who works on which, with your species, grades and sawn sizes.
- Tag in, scan at the sawLogs are recorded as they come in and scanned again at the machine, on the operators’ own phones.
- Read the variationEvery morning the owner sees variation and recovery per machine and grade on the dashboard.
“If A grade in 12 ft doesn’t give me profit and 16 ft does, I can buy 16 ft on my next consignment. It helps predict the profit, track day-to-day sawing, and removes the dependency on extra staff.”
Questions
What does sawmill production software track?
Which log went to which saw, what the mill measured against what was paid for, and what came out of it — per machine and per consignment — so production and recovery are measured, not estimated.
What if an operator skips the scan?
The log is still entered, as non-tally, and the report counts how many there were. Matching them back to their consignment later closes the gap, and a rising count shows where scans are being skipped.
Does it handle hardwood as well as pine?
Yes. Pine usually arrives tagged; hardwood such as teak is measured by species, girth and hollow at the saw, and each wood has its own reports.
Our mill has a weak mobile signal. Is that a problem?
Rarely. Operators sign in where there is signal; after that, entries at the saw keep working through drops and reach the office when the signal returns.
How is a sawmill priced?
Mostly by the number of machines: the Indian plans cover 5, 20 or 50 machines, from ₹6,250 a month, with a one-time setup. See the pricing section on the home page.
