Timbba

Timber merchant software

Timber merchant software for traders, importers and yards

Know what you have, by size and godown, before you quote. Write the order the way the customer gave it, load only what it still needs, and let the gateman scan the challan before the lorry is let out.

Orders on the phone

Stock you can sell from, and dispatch you can trust

Stock by size, species and godown

Live stock in CFT and CBM for every size, species and location — the figure your salesperson quotes from is the figure in the godown.

Consignments you can claim on

When the port sends less than the bill of lading, the shortfall is listed log by log, lorry by lorry — evidence your supplier or the port cannot argue with.

Orders in the customer’s units

A builder asks in feet, a furniture maker in millimetres, an exporter in cubic metres. Write the order the way the customer said it; Timbba converts it to your stock.

Loading against the order

The loader picks lines from the order, never more than is still due, so an over-load or a wrong size is stopped in the yard, not discovered by the customer.

Challans checked at the gate

The challan prints with a barcode; the gateman scans it before the lorry leaves, and only then is the timber off your books.

Reports for the owner

Which customers are waiting, which sizes are running low, what each consignment has sold — on the owner’s phone, and in Excel when the accountant asks.

Running in a week

  1. Sizes and opening stockWe set up your species and product sizes and bring in the stock you hold today.
  2. One consignment in, one order outWe take a consignment in and an order out with your team, on their own phones.
  3. Sell from live stockFrom then on quotes, orders and dispatch all work from the same live figures.
“We received a shortage of 26 metres of logs from the port and found it was in non-tally logs. I claimed the shortage from the port. I can see the work done by munshis and whether they are doing the right job.”

Questions

We only trade, we do not saw. Is this for us?

Yes — most of what a trader needs is stock, consignments, orders and dispatch, and that is the heart of Timbba. The sawing screens simply stay switched off.

Can my salespeople check stock before they quote?

Yes. They see live stock by size and godown on their phone, so a quote is made on what is really there today, not on last month’s register.

How does it stop a wrong lorry leaving?

Two checks: the loader cannot load more than the order still needs, and the gate scans the challan before the lorry is let out.

We have stock in several godowns. Can it keep them apart?

Yes. Each godown or yard has its own stock, and the owner can look at one or all of them together.

What does it cost a trading business?

Plans are priced by users and machines rather than by volume traded; in India they start at ₹6,250 a month on a yearly subscription. The home page’s pricing section lists them.
